P ray for peace
As I shared earlier, everyone seems to agree that prayer is the place we should start in our pursuit of peace. It is no wonder that anger seems to be a common attitude because many of us find little or no time for prayer. If you enter into true prayer then you discover as I have that often the first adjustment that needs to take place is within our selves. God is not one that seeks to appease your anger or pacify your self-esteem. He will tell you what you need to hear and do in the face of anger. When we enter into prayer, we need to be ready to accept responsibility and solve the problem. Fellowship and communion with God increases, improves, and promotes healthy fellowship with other believers. This is the prayer of Jesus. (John 17:20-21) Shouldn’t it also be our prayer that we become one?
