Mission Statement

God has commissioned each of us to go into all areas and to all people groups of the world for the purpose of making disciples of Jesus Christ. It is our mission to teach them through explanation and training them by example concerning everything Jesus did and commanded us to do also. We are to baptize each convert according to the character of God and the example set by Jesus Christ. Then we shall help them through the leadership of the Holy Spirit to develop and cultivate a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. (Matthew 28:19-20)

We believe that a very important portion of our mission is to express love to each other without partiality and without hypocrisy. When we love each other within the body of Christ or within our membership and fellowship, then we express to the world that we are truly the Disciples of Christ. (John 13:34-35)

Another important aspect of our mission is our responsibility is to develop leaders by utilizing our God-given gifts and calling. We believe that by working together in unison and in harmony we can effectively equip others for the work of the ministry, thereby educating, encouraging and enriching the entire church body so each member can become mature in the faith of Christ. (Ephesians 4:11-16)

For this reason we must all be faithful in all duties which are essential to the Christian life, and to attend regularly the services of the church, to give regularly for its support and its causes, and to share in its organized work. It is also our duty to encourage and provoke others to fulfill their responsibility (in the spirit of love and commitment) while considering that we also need the accountability of others in all areas of our lives, especially where we are weakest. This is on the premise that we should treat others as we wish to be treated. (Hebrews 10:24-25)

In this fellowship, we are to testify of our experience with God and to bear witness to the way of eternal life that our fellowship is in unity together with the Father, His Son and the Holy Spirit. (John 1:2-3; John 15:26-27)  We are commissioned by God to go into the world to preach and reveal the truth of God while sanctifying ourselves to a life devoted to Christ separate from the cares and carnality of this world. Our overall mission is to proclaim the gospel of Jesus Christ in word and deed, together in unity of the faith, hope, and love exemplified by His life and words. (John 17:18-21)

Our duty is to work toward this goal of agreeing together that we may experience the authority and will of God as one body. We understand that when we work and agree together as one in prayer and purpose according to the will of God, then we become prosperous in our labor and we see the answer to our prayers. We are to promote and develop a consistent prayer-life in our members then we all benefit and we fulfill this mission of God for His church; to be called a house of prayer. (Matthew 18:18-20)
